Morgan Sindall Property Services Support Mobile Foodbank in Westminster Tackling Food Insecurity

Food insecurity continues to place significant pressure on households across Westminster, and supporting the community with this challenge remains a key priority for Morgan Sindall Property Service.
Volunteers from MSPS Westminster repairs and maintenance team volunteered their time to support a Mobile Foodbank hosted at Brunel Happy Club on Brunel Estate, part of the Westminster City Council community network. The initiative was led by MSPS Social Value Officer, Polly Evans, as part of the organisation’s ongoing commitment to delivering meaningful social value. Adam Hug, Leader of Westminster Council was also in attendance, showing his support for the local community initiative.
Working alongside Tarem Services, one of our subcontractors, MSPS employees helped distribute 100 food bags, supporting over 200 residents with essential items such as rice, cooking oil, long-life milk and toothpaste. For many households, this support helped to ease immediate financial pressure while offering dignity, reassurance and stability.
The MSPS Westminster team of volunteers worked on the day to support residents and ensure the smooth delivery of the food parcels.
Elizabeth from Happy Lizzy Event Planning CIC, based at Brunel Happy Hub, said: “It has been a pleasure collaborating with Tarem Services and Morgan Sindall Property Services to provide much-needed support to residents. As a new hub, we are proud to be making a positive difference through this food distribution initiative and helping to strengthen support within the local community.”
Daren Townsend, Social Value Officer, Westminster City Council said: “It’s great to see Morgan Sindall Property Services and Tarem Services coming together to support Westminster residents in such a practical and positive way. The team made a real difference on the day, helping local families access essential support while showing the value of strong social value actions.”
Titus Komolafe, Managing Director, Tarem Services said: “With demand for food banks continuing to rise, action from businesses matters more than ever. We are proud to stand alongside Morgan Sindall Property Services to support local people facing food insecurity through our mobile foodbank initiative, delivering essential non perishable food directly to those who need it most. By giving our time and resources, we believe every business has a duty to make a real difference in the communities it serves.”
Polly Evans, Social Value Officer at Morgan Sindall Property Services, said: “It was fantastic to lead this initiative and work alongside both Tarem Services and our Westminster contract colleagues, who volunteered their time to support residents. Food banks play a vital role in supporting communities, and this activity shows the real impact we can make when our teams come together and actively support local needs.”
