Yorkshire Housing awards MSPS £5 million contract
Morgan Sindall Property Services (MSPS) has been awarded a £5 million contract with Yorkshire Housing over the next four years, to deliver responsive repairs, void works and out of hour’s services to circa 5000 properties across Leeds, Bradford, Burnley, Calderdale and Kirklees.
Yorkshire Housing is one of the largest social housing providers in Yorkshire, they manage over 18,000 affordable and social rent homes, with plans to build 3,000 more by 2021.
MSPS Regional Director Shane Greaves says “It’s a great opportunity to enhance our footprint within the Yorkshire area, having worked with YHA for the last two years we have formed excellent relationships at all levels and delivered excellent performance which I believe supported our success in securing the additional contract with YHA.
“We now manage circa 6500 properties within YHA’s portfolio delivering responsive repairs, voids, adaptation and FRA works. The opportunity to blend our existing contract with the newly secured Lot 1 will produce more efficiencies and continue the delivery of excellent results for YHA.”
Mark Coogan, Head of Repairs and Neighbourhood Investment at Yorkshire Housing, said: “We are delighted, that we have secured another contract with Morgan Sindall, to deliver repairs, maintenance and void works for the next four years. The company has proved itself a reliable and valuable service provider and we are confident that in delivering this additional contract, Morgan Sindall will further improve the quality of service that we offer to Yorkshire Housing’s customers. We look forward to continuing with our close working relationship over the coming years.”
