MSPS supports Barnet Homes Urban Gamez 2020

This year’s Barnet Homes’ annual sporting event, Urban Gamez, will be held from Wednesday 26 to Friday 28 August at the Grahame Park Community Centre, NW9 from 1pm until 5pm.

Morgan Sindall Property Services (MSPS) is always delighted to support this event and has done so for many years. We were involved from its early beginnings with financial support and donations from our supply chain partners, and helping it grow in popularity year on year. Last year was a hugely successful event with over 300 people packed into the grounds however due to the pandemic this year the event has changed format.

This year the Urban Gamez presents “Beat the Curve”, inviting young competitors to see how quickly they can sprint 60 metres on a curved treadmill. Free t-shirts will be given to all participants, plus goodie bags for 4 to 7-year olds and prizes will be awarded to the winners of each year group. The event will enforce all COVID safety measures including the wearing of face masks, track and trace and social distancing.

Sizi Sibanda, Social Value Business Partner at MSPS, said “We are looking forward to attending this fabulous event, however unlike last year there will only be a limited number of volunteers, to socially distance meet and greet the residents, as strict COVID measures are in place limiting the number of attendees. It’s been great working with our client on this event, and we are looking forward to hopefully meeting the residents, with social distance measures in place, at another event soon. As this helps the residents recognise some friendly faces and our business when we are completing works within the community. Finally, I’d like to wish all the young sporting heroes’ good luck!”
