MSPS signs up to Care Leaver Covenant

Morgan Sindall Property Services (MSPS) is pleased to announce their commitment to supporting care leavers by signing the Care Leaver Covenant. The Covenant provides practical support for those leaving care, so they can progress successfully to the next phase of their lives. MSPS will provide care leavers with several different initiatives such as a dedicated advisor, support with employability alongside training and access to apprenticeships and job roles.

Signing the Covenant highlights the commitment of MSPS and its employees, to providing dedicated support for care leavers. MSPS has a number existing of programmes that provide opportunities for marginalised people in the community. These range from training programmes to equip the community with the skills they need for local vacancies, support around debt and financial resilience, and employability sessions to prepare residents for work with interview skills and a quality CV.

Alan Hayward, Managing Director, Morgan Sindall Property Services, said: “I am delighted to sign up to the Care Leaver Covenant, to show our commitment to supporting those that have spent time in care through our apprenticeship programme, and access to other initiatives, delivered through our social value team. The Covenant is a brilliant way for us to engage and offer new opportunities to care leavers, who may be considering a career in the property services industry.”

Currently more than 200 businesses, charities and government departments have pledged to support the Covenant. It sets out an ambition for the scheme to create 10,000 work opportunities over the next ten years, helping young people gain vital skills and experience as they enter the jobs market.
