Morgan Sindall Property Services Improve the Energy Efficiency of Longhurst Homes

This month, Morgan Sindall Property Services (MSPS) welcomed Marcus Keys, Executive Director of Growth, Development and Assets at Longhurst Group to view progress on a Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) project demo home.

The fund is part of the government’s commitment to decarbonisation projects as part of their aim to reduce carbon emissions to net zero by 2050.

This demo home in North Northamptonshire is part of the energy efficiency improvement works MSPS are delivering in partnership with Longhurst Group to 581 of their homes. The works will provide residents with warmer, more energy efficient homes, help them reduce their energy bills, and bring their Energy Performance Certificate rating to C.

Alongside Marcus Keys, the Development and Asset Investment Committee joined the visit to see the energy improvement works in action, including external wall insulation, loft insulation and double-glazed windows.
