Morgan Sindall Property Services Highly Commended at Social Value Leadership Group Awards

Morgan Sindall Property Services (MSPS) is proud to announce that we been highly commended at the Social Value Leadership Group Awards, recognising our outstanding partnership work with Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing on the Queensway Pavilion community space project in Cambridge.

MSPS was nominated by Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing for the Best Collaboration Initiative award, reflecting the strength of our partnership and shared commitment to delivering social value.

What makes these awards unique is the nomination process. Unlike most awards, supply-chain partners cannot nominate themselves. Instead, members of the Social Value Leadership Group, the social value leads within their respective organisations, use performance data and first-hand experience to nominate supply-chain partners for each category, following clear nomination guidelines.

MSPS partnered with Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing, alongside Ian Williams Ltd, Pinnacle Group Limited, and Travis Perkins, to transform the space into a vibrant hub for the community. Our team proudly contributed a brand-new kitchen, ensuring the Pavilion is fully equipped for coffee mornings, events, and local services. MSPS operatives worked collaboratively across carpentry, plumbing, tiling, and other trades to deliver a high-quality finish, adapting plans along the way to accommodate electrics and water.

Steve Watson, Senior Partnership Manager, Morgan Sindall Property Services said: “The Queensway Pavilion project truly demonstrates what can be achieved when partners come together with a shared vision for social value. By combining expertise, resources, and commitment, we’ve not only reopened a vital community space but created a hub that will deliver lasting benefits for residents for years to come.”

Ian Rogers, Operations Manager, Morgan Sindall Property Services said: “It’s been incredible to see the Queensway Pavilion come back to life and be embraced by residents and staff. Since reopening, the space has hosted everything from community meetings and work groups to informal catchups, a true hub for connection. Its flexible design means it can adapt to many uses, creating opportunities that enhance the lives of residents and clients alike. This project proves the power of collaboration and how social value initiatives can transform communities for the better.”

Kelly Thomas, Social Value and Fundraising Manager, Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing said: “At MTVH, we believe in creating spaces that brings residents and communities together. We are pleased that through our contractors’ social value commitments that include Morgan Sindall who contributed the kitchen, we have been able to reimage and transform the Queensway Pavilion into a space for residents to meet and forge greater connections. Without the support and contribution of valued partners, like Morgan Sindall we have grown our aspiration for the space ensuring that it has lasting impact for many years to come.”
