Morgan Sindall Property Services Joins Forces with Local Volunteers to Revitalise Laindon Community Centre in Basildon

Morgan Sindall Property Services (MSPS) social value team recently organised and supported a volunteering project at Laindon Community Centre, to help improve the environment, foster a sense of community, and create a welcoming space for Basildon residents.

Armed with gloves, bags, and determination, employees from MSPS, grounds maintenance Ide Verde, Basildon residents and employees of the community centre came together to remove and properly dispose of litter, organise recyclables and clean up walls and other general surfaces to restore the area’s appearance.

This was also an opportunity to discuss potential future opportunities, such as creating a wall mural, supplying planters and benches, and how we can continue to collaborate with the community centre to improve communal space.

Senior Partnership Manager, Lukasz Borkowski at Morgan Sindall Property Services said: “We are thrilled to see volunteers come together for this project. Our partnership with Basildon Council allows us to make a real difference, and we look forward to continuing our efforts to enhance the community centre and support local residents.”

Councillor McGurran, Cabinet Member for Environment and Leisure, commended the collaboration and highlighted the positive impact of such initiatives on the community.
