Building Careers in Westminster: 17 New Apprentices Join Our Team

Morgan Sindall Property Services (MSPS) is proud to welcome 17 new apprentices to our Westminster contract, reinforcing our ongoing commitment to creating meaningful employment opportunities for residents and investing in future talent through our Apprentice Academy.

This year, we were thrilled to receive over 900 applications for our programme. Following a rigorous shortlisting process, 72 candidates were selected, with over 40 candidates invited to a pre-assessment day. After conducting interviews, we are delighted to have recruited apprentices into a range of roles including carpentry, gas engineering, administration, and commercial apprenticeships.

The Apprentice Academy, launched in 2023, was designed to provide not only hands-on training but also wraparound support, from mentoring and tailored learning plans to life skills workshops and confidence-building activities. It plays a vital role in tackling youth unemployment and helping young people build long-term, rewarding careers in the housing and property services industry.

Elspeth Brown, Chief of Repairs at Westminster City Council said: “It’s fantastic to see so many local young people starting their careers through the Apprentice Academy. These roles aren’t just jobs—they’re real opportunities to grow, learn, and make a difference in our communities. We’re proud to support this partnership and excited to see what the apprentices achieve.”

MSPS has proudly delivered repairs, maintenance, and investment works across the City of Westminster since 2017. Through this partnership, we not only ensure that residents live in safe, well-maintained homes but also create wider benefits for the community by investing in skills, training, and employment.

The addition of 17 new apprentices is a reflection of that commitment – combining high-quality service delivery with long-term social value for the people of Westminster.
