Westminster Students Complete Five-Week Work Placement with Morgan Sindall Property Services (MSPS)

This month, four students from Capital City College, Westminster successfully completed a five-week work placement with Morgan Sindall Property Services (MSPS), supported by employees from across the business.
This collaborative initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to Westminster City Council’s employment support strategy, creating meaningful opportunities for students to develop skills, build confidence, and explore careers within the built environment.
The placement also reinforces our drive to improve social mobility and employability under our Social Value pillars. By providing hands-on experience in a real working environment, we’re helping remove barriers to opportunity, widen access to careers in our sector and support young people take confident steps toward their future pathways.
Throughout the five weeks, the students took part in a wide range of activities, including:
- Delivering a social value pitch and marketing project to MSPS colleagues
- Completing health & safety and project management training
- Shadowing our Commercial and Voids teams to see how live operational work is delivered
- Connecting with employees across MSPS- from Apprentices and Engineers to HR and Social Value, gaining insight into real career pathways and the variety of roles available across the business
