Supporting The Armed Forces Community At Morgan Sindall Property Services
This month, Morgan Sindall Property Services (MSPS) demonstrated its commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community by organising an Employment Day at the RAF Waddington and attending the BuildForce Career Insight Day at Harrogate Showground, sponsored by Morgan Sindall Group.
The BuildForce Programme is an initiative designed to help Armed Forces personnel transition into new careers within the construction industry and provides guidance and opportunities for those looking to enter this field.
The Career Insight Day event aimed to help armed forces personnel explore career opportunities in construction. Over 250 people who were either, currently serving members, in their final month on resettlement or have recently left the Armed Forces attended. MSPS employees from different areas of the organisation, including Head of HR Hilary Hodson, and Partnership Manager Keith Inman attended the event providing ex-service members support on how to transition into new careers within the construction industry, offering valuable guidance, and learning more about opportunities available.
Keith Inman, Partnership Manger, Morgan Sindall Property Services said:
“It was great to see the support offered by BuildForce, in preparing our armed forces personnel to have a career in construction with the support of a variety of construction companies. I met some very talented people with a range of transferable skills that we hope to support as they transition from life in the forces to life as a civilian.”
As a Silver Armed Forces Covenant member, Morgan Sindall Property Services strives to support the armed forces community. This month our Social Value team also teamed up with RFS (Recruit for Spouses) to deliver an Employability Day at the RAF, Waddington. RFS is an independent and social enterprise dedicated to supporting, championing, and finding gainful employment for the spouses and partners of Armed Forces members.
The sessions focused on improving confidence, navigating LinkedIn, and finding organisations that are armed forces-friendly employers. These initiatives reflect our dedication to helping the armed forces community transition smoothly into civilian careers and ensuring they have the support they need to succeed.
Kim Williams, Career Academy Programme Manager, Recruit for Spouses said:
“It was an absolute pleasure to work with the Morgan Sindall Property Services team in delivering an in-person employability day to military spouses this month. The impact on the community has been truly meaningful, as we continue to support individuals in enhancing their skills, building confidence, and improving their chances of securing meaningful employment. By creating opportunities for personal and professional growth, we are driving social value, helping to foster stronger, more resilient communities, and making a lasting difference in people’s lives. Together, we are inspiring individuals to achieve their potential and contributing to a more inclusive and sustainable future.”
Morgan Sindall Property Services remains committed to supporting the Armed Forces community, recognising the incredible skills and experience they bring. By partnering with initiatives like BuildForce and organising employability days, we aim to make a positive impact on the lives of service members and their families.
