Morgan Sindall Property Services Showcases Record Results
We are proud to announce that we have once again achieved the wellbeing valuation certification from HACT for our social value activities. Measured through the UK Social Housing Bank and certified by HACT, during 2022-23 we delivered over £7.4 million of wellbeing across 16 contracts. This means that for every £1 spent, we delivered £30 of value to residents and communities across the areas we serve.
Building on our strong performance across previous years, these figures show that we have supported more residents and communities than ever before and made ongoing improvements to our social value programmes. Already wide-ranging, during 2022-23 we delivered an even more diverse programme of initiatives, including innovative approaches to improving resident wellbeing through retrofit works and supporting residents to take action to tackle climate change.
In total, we:
- Provided employability support to over 2,000 residents
- Started 14 new apprenticeships (in addition to those already running across our contracts)
- Provided training to over 200 residents
- Delivered work to learn training to 125 residents
- Donated over £30,000 to charitable causes
- Engaged with almost 3,000 young people across 58 schools
- Provided almost £6,500 energy support for customers in fuel poverty, and provided energy advice and support to 96 residents
- Spent 709 hours volunteering in the local community
- Supported 55 customers with digital skills.
Head of Social Value, Helen Sheen, said: “our work to deliver positive impacts for residents and communities is more important than ever. This year, we have focused our efforts on supporting customers with the continued social and financial impacts of the pandemic, the cost of living crisis and rising energy costs. Moving forwards, we will continue to work collaboratively with our clients to develop programmes that leave sustainable legacies tailored to the specific needs and circumstances of all residents and local areas.”
James Williams, Head of Social Impacts at HACT, said: “Morgan Sindall Property Services has once again proved itself to be a best practice business and leader in delivering meaningful social value outcomes. The organisation has shown year-on-year improvements across an increasingly diverse portfolio of programmes, demonstrating a deep understanding of social value and genuine commitment to improving residents’ lives and increasing community prosperity.” Read the full report here.
