Morgan Sindall Property Services secures two major contracts with Hammersmith and Fulham Council
Morgan Sindall Property Services (MSPS) has secured a housing repairs contract and a domestic and communal gas contract worth an estimated total value of up to £71m.
The contracts are for an initial five years with the potential to extend for a further two years.
The repairs contract will cover the north of the borough and will service 3,624 properties including 150 voids per year. The gas contract is boroughwide providing domestic and communal gas works to over 11,000 properties.
Hammersmith and Fulham Council were clear from the outset what their priorities were for their services and residents, and what they were looking for in a service provider. Providing excellent customer service, informed by data insight to drive decision making were key to the success and appointment of MSPS along with a strong social value proposal.
MSPS will be co-located with the Council’s Customer Service team and will help support the diagnostics of repairs via follow up calls and using remote visual assistance software. The company will direct deliver 90% of gas works along with 85% direct delivery of housing repairs, ensuring a locally employed workforce and supply chain. A comprehensive range of appointment slots will be offered to residents helping to reduce no access and increase first time fix.
Alan Hayward, Managing Director for MSPS said, “We are delighted to have won these contracts in such challenging times. This period has been difficult for a lot of people; their livelihoods and communities have been severely affected and we have used this as an opportunity to really learn, refine our data insight proposition and better understand our customers so we can support the most vulnerable in our society.
“I am confident that we are equipped to provide an outstanding repairs and gas maintenance service, using our technology platform and data to help inform investment decisions, and deliver on our social value commitments that will open up numerous opportunities for local people.”
