Rewards and benefits

We strive to ensure that the salary is competitive and the benefits packages we offer are the best in the industry. We believe that people should share in the results of their hard work, so we offer some individualised performance-related rewards.

Work life balance

Juggling work commitments and family life is a challenge for everyone. That’s why we offer a great holiday allowance with an opportunity to buy or sell additional leave. We even support those who hold public positions (i.e. school governors) by providing them with paid leave to fulfil their volunteering duties. We will consider flexible working options on all our roles, so please ask if you would like to explore this further.

Thinking ahead

As you might expect, there’s also a contributory pension plan and a life assurance scheme.

‘It’s great to be part of a growing business.’

Anneka Gill
Head of Transformation

After studying International Relations, French and Spanish, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do after university, and took a job as a Business Development Executive at a fleet management company. After working on bids in the fleet and the recruitment industry, I was looking for a new challenge. I was a bit sceptical about joining a new industry, but after two years I’ve never looked back.

There’s a strong team spirit at MSPS, and it’s very rewarding to be part of a growing business and contributing to contract wins. It’s great to see an idea from a tender come to life and deliver real value to the client.

‘A big company with a family approach.’

Ade Onileyan
Partnership Manager

After three years in retail I wanted a change of career. So, 13 years ago I applied for a job in social housing as a Customer Service Advisor and since then I’ve not looked back. I learnt a lot about the industry from working for experienced managers and answering phone calls from tenants. This allowed me to work my way up the ladder from a Customer Service Advisor – Senior Team Leader – Customer Performance Manager and now a Partnership Manager. During my journey I was given the opportunity to complete several NVQ qualifications which has helped me manage my team and contract successfully.

Every day is different. It’s a demanding industry, but at the same time incredibly rewarding and I love learning and adapting to meet every challenge. I feel valued and enjoy working at MSPS, everyone’s voice counts no matter what level you are.

‘Keep challenging yourself and aim higher.’

Jessica Sit
Design Lead

Coming from a design and media background, working in the construction industry is a big challenge for me, but everyone I worked with in MSPS has been very supportive and encouraging. We work as a team, and I am grateful that my work and effort have been appreciated.

I enjoy the challenge of breaking the traditional impression of the industry, creating something new visually while bringing out the values of the company. Finding new ways to infuse creativity into the company is my long-term goal, whether it is by introducing new design concepts or with the use of new technology.

At MSPS, we are encouraged to equip ourselves with latest skills and knowledge for our job, and people are keen to help with your personal development.

‘A refreshing, innovative and caring employer.’

Gary McFarlane
Partnership Director

I started my career as an apprentice service engineer with British Gas and have had several business roles within the private and social housing sector before culminating my current position as Partnership Director on our Westminster City Council contract.

Having an MBA in general business management and other qualifications provides a framework for me to apply my experience and offers an invaluable source of reference to best business practice, methodology and guidelines.

MSPS offers me the opportunity to work with great customers and helps me provide solutions to the daily challenges in service delivery. I enjoy working with and implementing the latest technology across the contract, such as receiving instant feedback to make sure the service we provide is continuously being reviewed, therefore relevant and responding to the resident’s service needs.

MSPS is a caring employer, inclusive and provides opportunities for all; they do all this whilst placing the customer experience at the heart of what we do.

‘Employees are encouraged to put their ideas forward.’

Natasha Kyriakou
Customer and Communications Director

After graduating from university, I started helping out with community events for a local construction firm. It wasn’t an industry that I envisaged working in but after a short period of time I realised that I could still use the skills that I had studied for within the construction industry. I joined the company’s first graduate programme where I worked across various departments to gain a better understanding of the industry. I later applied for a position within the company’s marketing department.

I’ve been working in the construction industry within marketing and communication roles for over 15 years now, and have never looked back. At MSPS there is a real passion for innovation and finding new ways of doing things which makes every day exciting. Employees are encouraged to put their ideas forward and be part of helping to shape and grow the business.

‘Improve your knowledge and understanding.’

Jo Amner
Project Manager

I have worked on the Ashford PFI since April 2007, starting out as a temp for the responsive repairs team. I then went on to carry out admin duties on the refurbishment of the Ashford Borough Councils properties in Stanhope. I then moved back to the repairs department and carried out these duties until I was promoted to my new role of Customer Performance Manager. Within this time, we have gained two further contracts working alongside Moat Housing and another with Ashford Borough Council carrying out Disabled Adaptations.

Throughout my time at MSPS I have always been encouraged to develop my training to improve my knowledge and understanding. These have included IOSH and ILM Level 2 to name a couple.

‘Great opportunities with good people.’

Richard Kelk
Assistant Project Manager

I started my career as a kitchen fitter, during this post I enrolled into a college placement for domestic gas fitting. I progressed quickly from domestic heating installer operating all over the country, to working on commercial plant installations in Sheffield, then a commercial and domestic heating engineer at Leeds university. Working my way up has really helped me understand the industry while gaining several qualifications on the way really helped for when I applied for the position at MSPS.

After joining Morgan Sindall Property Services (MSPS) I was instantly impressed with the team spirit, respect and praise for staff. I work on the LiLAC contracts, based in West Yorkshire, managing a team of 10 and several subcontractors. My role is very varied, every day is different and there’s always something to challenge you. My team undertakes several different large jobs at a time which can be quite complicated but it’s extremely rewarding when they are completed, and great to see the finished article.
