Supporting Our Communities This Festive Season

This festive season, colleagues across Morgan Sindall Property Services (MSPS) came together to make a real difference in the communities where we live and work. Through fundraising, volunteering, donations, and practical support, our teams helped local charities and organisations deliver vital assistance at a time of year when it matters most.
This year we donated over £21,000 in financial and in-kind support, alongside many hours of volunteering. This effort led by our social value team, supported residents and families within our communities over the Christmas period.
Highlights Across Our Contracts
- St Albans City & District Council: Donations supported essential services at Citizens Advice Bureau, Open Door homeless shelter, Emmaus Hertfordshire, and Herts Young Homeless. We also helped Marlborough School’s ‘M Store’ provide Christmas dinners and winter essentials for 20 families, and funded community wellbeing projects like Salaam Women’s Café and Computer Friendly sessions for older residents.
- Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council: Contributions included starter packs for young people moving into independent accommodation, gifts for families at Welwyn Hatfield Women’s Refuge, and ongoing support for Hatfield Foodbank. Volunteers also helped transport food donations, and supermarket vouchers were provided to residents in temporary accommodation.
- Westminster City Council: Our teams supported festive events for residents, including a Christmas party for 50 people at Lillington and Longmore Estate, hampers for families via Home-Start Westminster, and a £2,000 donation to North Paddington Foodbank.
- L&Q Contract: Over £4,700 of festive support was delivered, including hampers for vulnerable residents, donations to community organisations, toys for local children, and activities for older residents.
- Amplius: Thanks to donations from Prism and KOPA Scaffolding, £1,000 was raised for wellness hampers and winter warmer packs for vulnerable residents.
- Basildon Borough Council: A total of £7,450 was raised for the MS Society, Achieve Thrive Flourish (ATF), and Changing Pathways, continuing our support for those affected by domestic abuse.
- London Borough of Waltham Forest: Donations supported Project Zero and The Waltham Forest Dementia Hub, helping families affected by dementia during the festive period.
Looking Ahead
This season highlights the power of local action, strong partnerships, and committed colleagues. From financial donations to hands-on volunteering, our teams and supply chain partners have shown their dedication to supporting our communities.
We’re proud of the difference made this Christmas and look forward to continuing our social value work throughout the year.
