Celebrating 20 Years of Community and Connection with East End Homes

Morgan Sindall Property Services (MSPS) was proud to support East End Homes as they marked their 20th anniversary with a series of community celebrations across Tower Hamlets this summer.
The celebrations across the summer were designed to reflect the organisation’s history and vibrant communities, giving residents the chance to reconnect with old friends, share memories of the East End, and make new connections in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
Last week, we joined residents of Island Gardens for the fourth and final anniversary party, where families once again enjoyed food, children’s entertainment and face painting. We were delighted to be joined by Lutfur Rahman, Mayor of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, Deputy Mayor Maium Talukdar, and Jacqui Bateson, Chair of the Eastend Homes Board, who all helped mark this special milestone alongside the community.
As one of East End Homes main repairs and maintenance contractors and our commitment to the partnership, our team provided gifts for the residents and were on hand throughout the event to offer support with repairs and services, ensuring residents felt supported as well as celebrated.
Mark Whittam, Regional Managing Director at Morgan Sindall Property Services, said: “We are honoured to support East End Homes in marking its 20th anniversary, celebrating two decades of dedication to community cohesion and resident wellbeing. We look forward to continuing our partnership with East End Homes to enhance the quality of life for residents, through meaningful services and opportunities that foster a strong sense of belonging.”
Jacqui Bateson, Chair of the East End Homes Board, said: “The enthusiastic response from residents to the celebrations over the summer has been wonderful. There’s a palpable sense of community across all five estates and it was great to have opportunities to mark our 20th anniversary with residents. In addition to providing services, we recognise the importance of bringing people together in the true spirit of the East End! Thank you to all the residents who made 2025 a summer to remember.”
Since its registration as a social landlord in 2005, East End Homes has grown into a community-led housing association serving over 3,900 households. With a new Corporate Plan launching this year and incoming CEO Daniel Killian set to take the helm in September, the organisation is looking ahead to an ambitious resident-focused programme for the next three years.
