Celebrating the Platinum Jubilee in our Communities
To celebrate the Platinum Jubilee Morgan Sindall Property Service’s (MSPS) Social Value team hosted a range of events for our residents, across our contracts.
Bakers Almhouse, Waltham Forest
Residents at Bakers Almshouse, a sheltered scheme in Waltham Forest had a great time celebrating the Jubilee on Monday 6th June. Over 20 residents attended with food delivered to those who couldn’t be there.
The event was in partnership with Aston Group with residents taking part in a Jubilee quiz with prizes of Jubilee mugs and boxes of chocolates up for grabs, as well as a darts competition.
Salma Khan, Social Value Officer for MSPS attended the event, as well as Waltham Forest Council representatives and Councillor Karen Bellamy.
It was a great day, and everyone had a fantastic time celebrating.
Knightswood Court, Southminster
On Wednesday 8th June, residents at Moat retirement living scheme in Southminster rang in the Jubilee weekend with an event at their residency.
MSPS partnered with Moat Foundation to host a day of events in the Knightswood Court communal lounge and garden. Residents enjoyed a line dancing group performance, singers, bingo, a quiz and plenty of food and refreshments.
Over 30 people of all ages came together to socialise and celebrate. The line dancing group went down a storm, with guests joining in and sporting their new cowboy hats, while others enjoyed exercising their competitive streak and getting stuck into the games.
Clifton Court, Waltham Forest
Clifton Court in Waltham Forest held their first Jubilee event on Tuesday 31st May with residents coming out to take part in a range of activities and fun.
There was a Jubilee quiz with prizes such as a Jubilee teapot set, a cake stand and Jubilee mugs up for grabs. There was also a darts competition, with the winner receiving their prize of a box of chocolates.
After the games and competitions, residents and MSPS employees then enjoyed a dance to music by The Soca Boys and Candy by Cameo.
It was also a great chance for residents to receive digital inclusion support from our Social Value team including support with password recovery, sending pictures using WhatsApp and adding contacts to a phone.
