Morgan Sindall Property Services Sign the Social Mobility Pledge

Morgan Sindall Property Services (MSPS) have signed the Social Mobility Pledge reinforcing the businesses commitment to creating fair opportunities within our business and our communities.

Founded by former Secretary of State for Education, Justine Greening, the Social Mobility Pledge encourages businesses to play their part in tackling the opportunity gap by removing barriers and enabling employment for people from disadvantaged backgrounds or communities.

The Social Mobility Pledge is a coalition of 550 businesses globally employing over 5 million people, as well as more than 50 universities representing almost 2 million students. It encourages organisations to being a force for good by putting social mobility at the heart of their purpose.

By making the pledge, MSPS furthers its dedication to being a purpose-led organisation through outreach, access and recruitment.

As part of the pledge MSPS continue to commit to:

Outreach

MSPS will continue to work with schools and colleges to provide coaching through quality careers advice, enrichment experience and mentoring to people from disadvantaged backgrounds or circumstances, within our communities.

Access

MSPS will continue to provide structured work experience and apprenticeship opportunities to people from disadvantaged backgrounds or circumstances within our communities.

Recruitment

MSPS will work to adopt open employee recruitment practices which promote a level playing field for people from disadvantaged backgrounds or circumstances.

Alan Hayward, Managing Director, Morgan Sindall Property Services, commented: “Signing the social mobility pledge reinforces our strong commitment to boosting social throughout the communities we work in. Morgan Sindall Property Services have been championing social mobility for a long time through our social value activity including employability support, digital inclusion and apprenticeships, but we want to continue to promise to progress talent from all backgrounds, supporting the idea that your beginning does not have to dictate the opportunities available to you.”
