In recognition of the latest National lockdown restrictions communicated by the Prime Ministers on 4 January 2021, Morgan Sindall Property Services are working closely with our clients and partners to determine the on-going service to-date and ensure appropriate measures are in place to protect our people and the communities we serve. In line with the Construction Leadership Council and operating procedures, we will continue to offer a full service for now and will discuss our approach and agree any variances with each of our clients. We continue to prioritise essential repairs, so we can keep as many of our workforce safe at home where possible but also ensure we can maintain a level of service that will continue to protect the most vulnerable in our society.
Welfare and wellbeing
The safety and wellbeing of our colleagues and the people we serve is our number one priority. We have implemented an enhanced Safe Systems of Work which has been informed by Government guidelines on social distancing and the use of PPE. We have worked closely with our supply chain to ensure we have sufficient PPE supply for all staff and where their job permits, they are fully equipped to operate remotely.
Having provided a service through a longer period of restrictions and investing in our processes and IT we have been able act quickly to mitigate risk to our business and the safety of our people. This includes, getting as many of people home as possible and seeking the necessary support from our clients, which we are extremely grateful for. As such our business remains strong and we can continue to move forward with our business plans, but also look to incorporate lessons learnt during this time so that we can emerge from this pandemic a better business both for our people and our customers.
We are extremely proud of our workforce who are ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents by continuing to provide maintenance services in the areas we work. And for most their jobs haven’t stopped there, with many delivering food parcels for residents unable to leave their property and helping to signpost residents to the available support within their area. Many of our workforce are undertaking volunteering opportunities within their communities and working with Local Authorities. We have created a volunteering portal to help coordinate these activities and encourage more of our people to get involved.
It is heart warming to hear the wonderful feedback about our workforce from residents and clients and how they continue to work considerately and professionally during this time.
Every day we hear stories of where our people have gone above and beyond to support residents and people in need and we are immensely proud.
We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to our workforce, suppliers and clients who continue to support us through this challenging time. We will continue to work through this together; keep communicating; and use this unfortunate situation to understand where we can further support our communities and customers and become a better business as a result.
